Dear Colleagues,
Over the past several years, we’ve written to let the community know that we will recognize the Wednesday before Thanksgiving as a College holiday, thereby extending our Thanksgiving break by one additional day. We are pleased to announce that this tradition will continue this year, with the College closing on Wednesday, November 22. The additional day gives everyone a better chance to travel and to enjoy time with family and friends.
We’re also excited to share that, moving forward, the day before Thanksgiving will become a permanent fixture in our annual holiday schedule. The College will now observe 13 holidays over the course of the fiscal year.
Especially in this moment of transformation at the College, the extra holiday is a small gesture of our gratitude for the remarkable contributions each of you makes. We truly appreciate your dedication, hard work, and commitment to a Gettysburg education.
